Kia Summer Maintenance Tips

Battery Inspection

The rise in temperature and humidity during summer can be tough on car batteries. The heat can increase the rate of battery failure. At Allentown Kia, we can perform a physical battery inspection and battery test to determine the battery’s overall health. This includes checking the wires for any loose connections and the terminals for any corrosion deposits. We carry high-quality and reliable new batteries for sale if a replacement service is required.

A/C System Service

The A/C system becomes an extremely vital system for your comfort and safety during the summer months. The A/C of your car might not be performing at its best due to several reasons such as a clogged cabin air filter, low refrigerant level, or an issue with other components. We offer a full range of A/C system service and repair services at Allentown Kia.

Cooling System Inspection

As you can imagine that the cooling system plays a vital role in the hot summer months. The cooling system consists of several parts including the radiator, thermostat, coolant fluid, and more. All these parts need to be in good condition for the cooling system to be effective. One of the common cooling system services is the cooling fluid exchange service.

Tire Inspection

The tires suffer from an increased risk of overheating and blowout during summer. The temperature change can also cause the tire inflated pressure to increase. Our certified technicians can perform a comprehensive inspection of the tires checking the sidewalls, tire tread, and inflated pressure of the tires. We can adjust the tire inflated pressure according to the specifications of the tire manufacturer.

Engine Performance

The engine requires regular service to make sure it is in good condition to deliver optimum fuel efficiency and performance for your vehicle. With the increase in temperature, the engine can suffer from overheating and other issues if proper maintenance services are not performed. For the engine, we can perform an inspection of the filters, engine oil, and other components to make sure all components are in good condition.

Lights Inspection

Lights inspection includes checking the high beams, headlights, and taillight to determine if a bulb replacement or other service is required. The lights might need cleaning from dirt residue or other types of debris.
