Trims

Trim by Trim Breakdown
The 2021 Stinger is available in four distinctly different trims: the base GT-Line, the GT, the GT1, and the GT2. At the base model level, the GT-Line starts at an MSRP of just $33,090 and includes a whole host of standard features that buyers will appreciate. These include power heated outside mirrors, black chrome and black high gloss exterior accents, dual exhaust, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The GT leaps to a starting price of $39,590, a significant increase over the GT-Line. Why? Standard 19-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires replace the GT-Line’s smaller 18-inch wheels; LED headlights give the front end a more aggressive look. The audio system’s speakers increase from six to nine, and even the interior lighting is converted to LED, with special multi-color LED accent lighting to set the mood.
The Kia Stinger GT1, at $45,490, raises the bar, even more, giving buyers a standard sunroof with electric sunshade, automatic high beams, auto-dimming outside mirrors that minimize glare from headlights behind you, and rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers. Kia also increases the touchscreen to an 8-inch display on the GT1 and includes navigation. The audio system is also upgraded, with a standard 720-watt Harmon Kardon QuantumLogic Premium Audio System with 15 speakers.
At the top-end of the Stinger lineup sits the GT2 trim. At an MSRP of $50,390, the GT2 leaves nothing out. Beginning with the standard Smart Power Trunk that opens automatically with the standard Smart Key, Kia thinks of every imaginable comfort and luxury feature to make errands, cargo-hauling, and driving more relaxed and enjoyable. On the performance end, the standard Shift-by-Wire Gear Selector works by shifting completely electronically versus mechanically, so drivers simply push a button to switch between park, reverse, neutral, and drive more conveniently.
The GT2 also adds a Head-Up Display (HUD), allowing drivers to see information like speed and navigation turns reflected at eye level on the windshield. Nappa Leather Seating is also standard on the GT2, along with a 16-way power driver’s seat with a four-way lumbar adjustment and a two-way side bolster, giving drivers multiple comfort seat settings. Even the passenger gets a 12-way power seat with a four-way power lumbar, and heated rear seats make sitting in the back a little more bearable. Overall, with all of these options and upgrades, the Kia Stinger can be made to suit any wants and needs.
Performance

Powerful Engines
For the most part, the 2021 Kia Stinger puts performance first, starting with the base GT-Line Stinger, which comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers 255 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, plenty of power for the vehicle’s size. The GT, GT1, and GT2 Stingers up the ante, with a standard 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, putting out a thrilling 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. This is incredible power that makes for a fun and unique driving experience.
Absolute Efficiency
The GT-Line offers excellent fuel economy of 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway in rear-wheel drive, and 21 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway when equipped with all-wheel drive. The GT, GT1, and GT2 offer 17 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. On the upper-end trims - the GT1 and GT2 - Kia adds an Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS), which adds five sensors that monitor the wheels and vehicle overall and adjust the suspension to the existing driving conditions. This results in a smoother, more responsive ride.
Other Performance Factors
In addition to the ECS system in the GT1 and GT2, Kia offers a Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) on all trims except the base GT-Line. The LSD works by distributing power evenly to the rear wheels in response to driving conditions, providing more agility and better handling. Coasting Neutral Control - standard on the GT1 and GT2 - disconnects the transmission in Eco or Smart modes when the driver isn’t accelerating, providing another method for achieving better fuel economy.
Additionally, the Stinger is equipped with upgraded Brembo Brakes, which are known for their quick stopping ability. Found on some of the highest-end vehicles, Brembo brakes are better because of their size. They’re bigger, and in braking systems, bigger is always better. By measuring disc diameter, we can determine the potential quality of a braking system. Brembo brakes’ disc diameter is larger than traditional braking systems. They’re also lighter, so they don’t contribute excess weight to the vehicle, and Brembo Brakes are made with carbon-ceramic discs, which handle friction better. With this feature, its power, and its efficiency, the Stinger is one of the best performance vehicles on the road.
Safety

The 2021 Kia Stinger puts safety at the forefront of its design. Kia recognizes that today’s range of driver assist systems are becoming more of a need than a want, and buyers are looking to purchase cars, trucks, and SUVs with only the most advanced safety features. In addition, Kia equips all trims with sufficient safety technology, so buyers won’t have to move up the model line to get what they need.
Standard Safety
All Stingers come standard with dual front and front seat-mounted airbags, along with full-length side curtain airbags and a driver’s side knee airbag. Rear child-safety door locks are also standard, along with a traction control system, for help in inclement weather driving conditions. And electronic stability control to keep the vehicle cruising safely by braking individual wheels and reducing engine power when driving conditions require adjustments is standard, too.
The entire Stinger lineup also includes blind-spot collision warning, which assists drivers by monitoring blind spots on the side and at the back of the car, producing an alert when a potential hazard is detected. Lane change assist is also standard on all Stinger trims. It works by detecting vehicles that may be traveling in a blind spot and alerting the driver to assist when making a lane change. Rear cross-traffic collision warning rounds out the suite of standard driver-assist systems. Sensors embedded in the rear bumper detect vehicles approaching from either side as the driver is backing up and sends an audible alert, along with a warning light on the left or right mirror.
More and More Safety
The GT, GT1, and GT2 Stinger trims add a few more safety systems to this already extensive list. This extended list includes driver attention warnings, which alerts the driver when it detects they turn their attention away from the road. Forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist are also all included on these higher trims.
The GT2 gets one more standard driver safety system: the surround-view monitor system. SVM works by displaying real-time images from four cameras that are strategically placed around the vehicle. Drivers can even see a bird’s eye view from a vantage point above the vehicle to aid with parking and low-speed driving and maneuvering. These features allow the Stinger to be one of the safest vehicles on the road.
